We were in attendance at the 2017 True American Heroes Dinner to raise funds to help Veterans via the Welcome Home Heroes Foundation. The event was at the Kenny Roberts ranch with many motorcycle racing champions such as Kenny Roberts, Kenny Roberts JR, Eddie Lawson, Marty Smith, and others.
The event raised around $100k to help recent war veterans transitioning from the battlefield back to the real world. We contributed by helping build a custom FJ-09, now named the T9, that was donated by the awesome folks at Yamaha Motor USA. Many people and companies in the industry came together to chip in labor and parts. JW Speaker was kind enough to provide some lighting, Motivation USA sourced some special parts, and Cognito Moto helped the spoked wheels happen to name a few. The completed bike brought in $30k during the live auction! We also made a couple clocks from old MotoGP carbon brake rotors that sold for some good money during the auction as well.
Head to TrueAmericanHero.org for more information and even make a donation yourself.
